Creating JScript templates with cablabel S3

The cab printer programming language JScript can be created with the cab label software cablabel S3.
The text file is saved to the specified memory location on the PC.
It can be edited manually at a later date if required.

Instructions

Create the layout with fixed text and barcode fields in the cablabel S3 “Designer” tab.
Assign unique object names to the fields.

If you are using TrueType fonts, select the “Display options” in the “View” tab and then the “Automatic font download” parameter.

Export the created layout in the “General” tab using “Memory card”. The individual steps are as follows:

1 Select the printer for which you intend to create the layout fileWählen Sie den Drucker aus, für den die Layoutdatei erstellt werden soll.

2 Define the storage location
“Card reader” prepares the layout for stand-alone printing or replacing
and saves it on the PC or a storage medium
“File” creates a text file with the JScript code
If you want to export the layout directly to the printer, select “Printer"

3 To create a replace file and to save the label file in the correct format select the “Create replace template” option

4 Define the location of the replace file (only when choosing “Printer” as destination)

5 Enter the layout name for saving the file on a card
